Disability Action Haringey (DAH) was formed in 2020 with the aim of supporting disabled people in the London Borough of Haringey maintain their independence and freedom. We are committed to the social model of disability and building a society that accepts and accommodates everyone.
As a Deaf and Disabled Persons’ Organisation, our services will always be centred on the demands of the service users themselves, which leads us to take a holistic approach to support.

Our Services
Direct Payments & Peer Support
We can support with accessing care, including through making referrals to social services, with Direct Payments or by providing advocacy support with social workers to ensure that your care package is right for you. We also have a peer support and training programme, enabling service users to assist others.
Personal (care) Assistant Information & Opportunities
This service supports disabled residents or their nominated/authorised person with recruiting a personal (care) assistant.
Housing Services
Our support with housing concerns includes providing assistance with rehousing applications, occupational therapy referrals, reasonable adjustments and repairs.
Welfare Benefit Services
We can support individuals with their benefit applications, such as Personal Independence Payment, Carer’s Allowance and Universal Credit. We can also support with mandatory reconsiderations and appeals.
Support Groups and Consultation Opportunities
We run support groups that can be beneficial for service users’ mental health and connection with the local community.
Transport Services
We can assist with applications for a blue badge, taxicard and freedom pass. We are also able to support with advocating with Transport for London for more accessible services or with making a complaint.
