PROMISES MADE. DECISIONS REVERSED. DISABLED VOICES LEFT OUT.

AND OUR CONCERNS REMAIN.
Floating bus stops can create points of conflict between pedestrians and cyclists. Blind and visually impaired people, wheelchair users, older people, parents with young children, and cyclists.
Nobody should have to cross a busy cycle lane simply to board or leave a bus without proper consideration of their safety.
DAH supports safer streets, cycling infrastructure and sustainable transport, but improving safety for one group must never come at the expense of another.
DAH is calling on Haringey Council to:
- Explain why the decision was reversed and why DAH was never informed.
- Publish the Equality Impact assessments supporting the decision.
- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to co-production with Disabled residents.
DAH values its relationship with Haringey Council and remains committed to working together, but that partnership must be built on trust, transparency and mutual respect.
We will not remain silent when decisions risk creating barriers for Disabled people.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
If you are concerned about the Ferry Lane floating bus stop, we ask Disabled residents, older people, parents, bus passengers and cyclists to share your views. Your experiences matter!
